You can cease your doubt no more Akila. If you think Taga-Borbon organization was just a mere show underlying our personal vested interest, then you are arbitrating an erroneous judgment. In grateful disposition and to answer your views, we convey that the Overseas members along with our local counterpart, have been guided with a by-laws and these we share to you and the rest of our Borbonanon brothers & sisters, (In Article III: Section 4-J,K,L of Taga-Borbon Organization Constitution & By-laws);

Section J: If a member is an active politician, he/she is strictly prohibited to seek and hold any office positions of the organization but will remain only as member. (ERGO, no political figure will play a role in manipulating the interest and objectives of our group).

Section K: If an officer of the organization will run for any government office positions, he/she will automatically be nullified in his/her position from time he/she officially filed the certificate of candidacy but will remain as member. (Therefore, we from the overseas territory who held with our pledge to keep the interest of the entire organization as a whole will be the first to oppose in any cases involving political matters. We explained it before and we will reiterate once more that we support NO POLITICAL FIGURES & COLORS with or within the Municipality of Borbon. What we wish to impart as Borbonanons under this group is to share and give back apiece of what we have had obtained right now—may it be financially or in services to our hometown).

Section L: No active politician member of the organization can pass motion to amend by-laws. (Then let it be the least of your worries Akila as “you and us” together can act as sentinels to safeguard the interest of the organization and not the interest of one person in our group).

We thank you for sharing to us your thoughts and feelings. And rest assured that we are trying our best to come up with more beneficial activities and projects that serve the over-all purpose of Taga-Borbon organization for 2009.

By the way, a glimpse to last year’s performances and accomplishments of the organization would simply attest our justification as follows:

2008 ACTIVITIES & PROJECTS:

•1st Local Get-Together in Lowland Barangays of Borbon held in Silveria Beach, Campusong , Borbon, Cebu (SUCCESSFUL)
•2nd Local Get-together in Upland Barangays of Borbon held in DEOMHS, Sagay, Borbon, Cebu (SUCCESSFUL)
•Cemetery Clean-Up Drive as our tribute and respect to our departed Borbonanons in a public cemetery at Cadaruhan, Borbon, Cebu (SUCCESSFUL)
•Mass Feeding during the Kalag-Kalag 2008 that caters around 2,000 Borbonanons (SUCCESSFUL)
•Kids Christmas Activities highlighting the day-care kids of Borbon for three-consecutive days (SUCCESSFUL)

whoever and wherever you are…. we, the Taga-Borbon Organization have been already encountered some of your kind since we launched this group. it is so sad to know that there are still Borbonanons like YOU who really enjoy doing injustice to us. Giving up opinion and criticism without researching and informing well kon nag-unsa ug giunsa pagpadagan sa grupo. Accusing us directly that we have done this all for personal interest and show. … A pity and really shameful nga usa ka nga among katagilungsod. Dapat unta imong gisubay daan ug nagpaminaw sa panahon una ka mo commentar kay if you really are smart and intelligent enough you will know and understand that there is really nothing to be afraid of, and that we are NOT doing this for our own interest and in order to gain anything or something in the future. So, if you really are concerned of our beloved “borbon”, read the forum from the very beginning…it had started sa Borbon Friendster Site to Borbon Online Community in Friendster and if it is not enough, join us in Taga-Borbon Group in Yahoo, then you will have everything need to know about this group. Maybe we can convince you pagtabang namo kay we are always thankful in every support and every helping hand, might it be financially or pinaagi sa voluntaryong kusog because to tell you the truth, lima ra tawon ming nagpas-an ug nag abaga sa mga galastuhanan sa matag activities nga among gimugna. We are so lucky and thankful that there are some Borbonanon in different corners of the world nga nagpaniid diay namo and already offered us the support we had been needed after they had realized that this organization is mere for the good cause of our town.

Be assured, akila, that we just only want to give back… wala mi giapas…. we are not politician so ayaw kahadlok nga molansar mi sa umaabut nga mga adlaw. Pertaining sa showmaker, we don’t need to do this kay daan na ming mga artista and very self confident…. We are not a bunch of insecured people who really need to be recognized. Believe me, the only reason for all of these are just all for the love of Borbon, so either you will join us then you are very welcome…or… continue doing nothing and giving negative comments…. It’s your choice…..!!!! We are really existing…. how about you…?????

Regarding your comment, please click on the BORBON LINKS that we posted or the Gallery Photos link, so that you will see the activities that the Taga-Borbon had in 2008.

The BOD who initially created this group come fron different barrios in our town and some didn’t even know each other in person, yet, for the common desire to give back to our town, they have bonded together and wish to give more with what we have. Hope you’ll join our cause.

Hi guys,

I think some of the people on this org are dear friends of mine. I think its a nice way of serving Borbon, I have always been to your place and it really needs all the help you can give.

Joshua and Jonbe keep up the good work! So proud of you!

I will be going back to your site as often as I can to check on the latest events and gigs as I have known Borbon and its people. Its a place where everyone is so warm the place is just fantastic.

I think you should also post some of the beautiful beaches that you have. It would be nice to see some of it online.
